Travelators
Moving walks, also known as moving sidewalks or travelators, are horizontal
transportation systems designed to move people or goods along a flat or
gently inclined surface.Moving walks are primarily designed to transport
people or goods within buildings or large spaces, such as airports, shopping
centers, transportation hubs, and exhibit halls. They provide a convenient
and efficient means of covering distances on foot.A moving walk consists of
a conveyor belt or moving surface with a series of steps or pallets that
circulate on a continuous loop. Passengers can step onto the moving surface,
which transports them in the desired direction, typically at a slower speed
than escalators.
